Nice one.. and, the automatic focus of the camera try to make focus and, well.. the most important part of the image was the green part, because is in the center, and the camera make the focus to it so... the purple part was out of focus.. but, you can play with focus even if you have an automatic camera ( when you can´t control the focus )

1st: more in macro shoots, put the PSP camera near to the objetive, press a little the shoot buttom, the camera try to make focus and when it does.. don´t take the shoot at this moment

2nd: You have the lenses just focused in the place of the automatic control of the camera think is right, but, you can now move the camera from one place to another having the focus fixed at that position, so, if the camera in this case has focused in the green part, you try to move up a little and the focus was going great for the purple part of the shoot then, here, press and hold the shoot buttom and release them, you have the picture with the focus near or exactly in the place you want.. its depend of how do you move arround

Try to experiment with that, it´s a cool thing before you have a DSLR camera and you can manage the Focus, etc.. etc..

i really like this shot...yep i have to agree with Naynee75's advice

i'm not sure if it's the same with your camera but on my auto focus camera if i press halfway down on the shutter it will focus on whatever is in the center of the camera. so now with his advice i could put the purple in the middle and press halfway down, but don't let go, and then pivot a bit to what i want as center and then completely press down the shutter. cool advice...i'll definitely have to try it some day
